Your brand is a very important component to your success. It is how people will recognize you, and hopefully at a glance. If you’ve ever been asked for your I.D. to assure who you are, you know how important your identification is.Your brand is not your logo. According to the American Heritage dictionary, your brand is “An association of positive qualities with a widely recognized name, as of a product line or celebrity.’ I believe we also need to focused what we’re recognized for at a glance.
You know the golden arches and their various restaurants serves hamburgers. Starbucks is known for it’s green siren with coffee around the corner. you’ve been conditioned to recognize these logos at a glance to draw you into a transaction of product for reputation and service you expect. If the service is lacking, you go somewhere else, because you know the brand.Most the time, through advertising we identify a brand audibly, through smells, visually, through taste, the only human sense that is left out of the equation in relationship to branding, is touch. The association to logo and reputation is an important part of branding. Displayed are logos I have designed over the years. You may or may not recognize them.
